Hello! I am currently a senior at Greenwich Academy. My passion for environmental sustainability has driven my creativity. I have enjoyed illustrating and writing from a young age. Creating a graphic novel allowed me to engage the intersections between all of my interests.

My graphic novel, First Light, follows the journey of a young boy, Zac, who is finding his way through the world. Zac wishes to become the voice for Mother Earth, but he needs a little encouragement and guidance. Four Elements--Fire, Water, Earth, and Air--come to his aid, teaching Zac and the reader about environmental issues and ways to take action.

My mission for creating this graphic novel is to provide an interactive and fun way for young people to learn about the environment, while also giving them the tools to make a change in their community.

My passion for the environment extends throughout my community. By founding the Environmental Art Club at Greenwich Academy, I hoped to inspire other students to tap into the power of creativity and advocacy for a greener world. In collaboration with a local non-profit organization, Waste Free Greenwich, I organized several events, such as an educational film screening at Greenwich Academy, presenting the film The Story of Plastic to high school students. Also, as a Junior Docent of Greenwich’s Bruce Museum, I enjoy teaching guests about art, science, and connections to environmental sustainability. Through these efforts I hope that art, creativity, and love for the environment can unite communities, paving a way for a more sustainable future.

As I continue my journey at Greenwich Academy and beyond, I hope to lead more initiatives focusing on environmental sustainability and awareness. With each event, activity, and novel, I aim to contribute to a more environmentally sustainable future. Join me, and let's work together for a cleaner, greener planet!
